A week ago I had this idea of hanging in my bedroom a set of topographical maps of Switzerland. After doing some maths about what wall dimensions I need, I have decided for 1:200 000 scale (found here)
Here is the story in pictures of assembling the 4 map-sheets that I have bought from Swisstopo.




Ufff, it was so hard to cut those maps :-(




Preparing all map-sheets for cuting and slicing



A merge operation done (NorthWest with NorthEast and SouthWest with SouthEast map-sheets)



Making height computations :-)



Final version of the painture :-)
